Bone broths used to be a dietary staple & the elimination of these nourishing foods from our modern diet is largely to blame for our increasingly poor health. If you love preparing foods from scratch this recipe is for anyone's budget. Perfect to enjoy on its own, use as a base for all your soups, stews, casseroles, curries etc You will not meet the same depth of flavour from any stock cube. Bone broth contains valuable minerals in a form your body can easily absorb and use, including calcium, magnesium,phosphorus, silicon, sulfur chondroitin, glucosamine, and a variety of trace minerals. The gelatine found in bone broth is a hydrophilic colloid. It attracts and holds liquids, including digestive juices, thereby supporting proper digestion. These minerals support the immune system and broth contains healing compounds like collagen, glutamine, glycine, and proline.

The collagen in bone broth will heal your gut lining and reduce intestinal inflammation. In addition, collagen will support healthy skin and can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Also, the glycine in bone broth can detoxify your cells from chemicals and improve brain function. Bone broth also inhibits infection caused by cold and flu viruses & fights inflammation, courtesy of anti-inflammatory amino acids such as arginine!
